Side quests
Each of the characters has some side quests relating to titles, costumes, their background, or whatever else. This page will address the side quests relating to Tear. Please note that the side quests for the titles that come with a costume have already been addressed on the costumes page, and therefore will not be put here.TITLE SIDE QUESTS
BIG SISTER: The only thing that you must do in order to obtain this title is complete all of the Hyperresonance Training events. If you sleep at the inn during your first visit to Daath and Sheridan, as well as sleeping in the inn at Daath before going to rescue Ion from reading the score and once again in Sheridan after completing the second quest in Tataroo Valley, Tear will ask Luke if he wants to train each of those times. After the fourth one, Tear will receive the "Big Sister" title.
EASYGOING WAITRESS: While in Keterburg (any time you visit, there are no requirements), go to the second floor of the hotel. Talk to the man at the entrance and he will mistake Tear as being the new waitress. So, Tear is forced to work, and that starts a game. You must remember all the dishes people order and then give them back to the correct people. Once you complete all five levels, Tear will receive the title "Easygoing Waitress".
FLOWER OF THE QLIPHOTH: To obtain this title for Tear, there are a few things you must complete ahead of time. You must complete the Ant Lion Man, Yulia City Items, Engeve's Defense, Hard Worker and Financial Investor events as well as be past Feres Island in the game. Once you do all of that, go to Chesedonia and speak with Astor. Then, to get Tear's title, you must return to Yulia City and speak to the man you helped in the Yulia City Items event. She will then receive the title "Flower of the Qliphoth".
GRAND CHEF: Once Florian arrives at Daath and you complete the Miso Stew Recipe event, go to the second floor of the Keterburg Hotel. (Please note that Tear must master all eighteen recipes and be the onscreen character when you do so.) Once you do, she will then receive her "Grand Chef" title as a cooking master.
SERVANT OF MELODIES: In order to obtain this title, you must first obtain all seven music disks. The first (Prelude) is located up the stairs when you first enter Daath. The second (Noble Thief) is located in a treasure chest in the Oracle Headquarters. The third (Purity) is obtained by examining the wall between the Inn and the Shop in Grand Chokmah after talking to Ishtar. The fourth (Requiem) is obtained by getting the King's Portrait from Shiba and then going to Coral Castle's second floor. After the event that is triggered, go into the secret room and open the treasure chest. The fifth (Comedy) is obtained by talking to the Katz in the Video Room on Nam Cobanda Isle. The sixth (Silver and White) is located in a treasure chest in Mt. Zaleho. Finally, the seventh (Finale) can be obtained in Northern Chesedonia after visiting Eldrant once by talking to the woman who is clapping her hands.
OTHER SIDE QUESTS
TEAR'S PENDANT: Tear will give away the pendant that she got from her mother in order to fulfill her promise to take Luke home. There are two events that are required in order to get it back. First, after going to Chesedonia for the first time, but before going into Astor's mansion, look for the man who Tear gave the pendant to in the beginning of the game. He is by the North Inn. Tear will inquire about her pendant, only to find out that he already sold it. Later on after Chesedonia sinks, talk to the same man again and he will tell you he sold it to a man in Grand Chokmah. Go to Grand Chokmah and talk to the merchant standing to the side in the equiptment shop. He still has the pendant, and if you have 100,000 gald, you can buy it back from him. If you do not have the money, Luke tells Tear he'll get it from his father and you can buy it back that way.
HOLY SONG ARTE: Before you can obtain this arte, Luke must first cut his hair in Yulia City. Then, before you are about to meet Teodoro, a woman will come up to Tear and tell her that she has found the third lyric for Yulia's Hymn. After speaking with Teodoro, go down a floor and talk to the woman and Tear will learn "Holy Song".
JUDGMENT ARTE: After Luke visits the doctor in Belkend, but before defeating Largo at the Absorption Gate, return to Daath. Head up to Ion's room and Oliver will come tell the party they are asked to be at Ion's memorial service. Anise will ask Tear to sing because Ion loved the song, and she agrees though she does not know the whole thing. During the service, she will sing the fifth verse, and Ion will thank her for singing it. He will give her the power to use the fifth verse, and therefore Tear will learn "Judgment".
