Costumes

Tear has a total of seven costumes, six of which you can get by activating certain sub-events. This page was made to help you obtain all of her costumes. For other titles that are not related to a costume, view the side quest page. To view a bigger image of each costume, click on the smaller image to the left of the description.

DEFAULT OUTFIT
EVENT TRIGGER: N/A
Though this is Tear's default outfit, I decided to include it here anyway. This is the outfit that Tear wears for any title that is not associated with a different costume, so you will most likely have to use this one for a good portion of the game. You will be able to change her title to Big Sister, Flower of the Qliphoth, Fonic Hymn Master, Mysterious Intruder, Perfect Healer, Servant of Melodies, Singer of the Verse, Strong of Heart and Van's Sister and still remain in this outfit.

LOCRIAN COLONEL
EVENT TRIGGER: After the first visit to Eldrant
In order to obtain this title, and ultimately this outfit, you must watch all of Luke's training sessions with Tear. These can be triggered by sleeping in the inn during your first visit to Daath and Sheridan during your first visits, sleeping in the inn at Daath before you go save Ion from reading the score, and finally sleeping at the inn in Sheridan after the second time visiting Tataroo Valley with a purpose. You will then see Tear's flashbacks of being trained by Legretta each time while Luke is training. Once you visit Eldrant, before defeating Van, return to Tear's house in Yulia City. If you go back into the selenia garden, she will find a letter from Legretta on Van's grave. After reading it, Tear will obtain the "Locrian Colonel" title, and obtain the costume she wore during her training.

COOL CHICK
EVENT TRIGGER: After the first visit to Eldrant
This costume is part of a group title event. After going to Eldrant once, return to Grand Chokmah and find Emperor Peony. Once you listen to the cutscene, Peony will give each character their 'final battle' outfit. Luke will get his Wild Saber title, Jade will get his Evil Fonist title, Anise will get her Childish title, Natalia will get her Imperial Will title, Guy will get his Blade Master title and Tear will get her Cool Chick title, ultimately getting this outfit.

RENTAL BEAUTY
EVENT TRIGGER: After the Absorption Gate and completing the Rappigs event
This costume is also part of a group title event. After completing the Absorption Gate and Natalia rejoins the party, head to Keterburg. Once you are there, go to the hotel. If you approach the middle of the counter, an event will be triggered relating to the Keterburg Spa. After watching the rather lengthy cutscene, each character will be able to keep their bathing suit. Luke will get his Towel Boy title, Jade will get his Resort King title, Anise will get her Not a Kid title, Natalia will get her Tropical Butterfly title, Guy will get his Aquatic Ape title and Tear will get her Rental Beauty title, ultimately getting this outfit.

PROUD MAID
EVENT TRIGGER: Baticul Castle
In order for Tear to obtain this title, and ultimately the maid outfit, you must first trigger an event while being in Baticul Castle. If you talk to the maid in the guest room, she will force Tear to put on a maid outfit and eventually comment that it looks good on her. But, you do not get to keep the costume just yet, as you have to wait until after Ingobert accepts Natalia as his daugher again to get it. Once he does, talk to the same maid again and she will let Tear keep the costume.

ABYSS BLACK
EVENT TRIGGER: After the Absorption Gate
This costume is yet again part of a group title event. If you are on your second play through or more, and after you complete the Absorption Gate and Natalia rejoins the party, return to Grand Chokmah. If you enter Peony's castle and talk to the maid with the gray hair in the room just before the one filled with Peony's rappigs, she will give the party the Abyss Man titles. Luke will get his Abyss Red title, Jade will get his Abyss Blue title, Anise will get her Abyss Pink title, Natalia will get her Abyss Green title, Guy will get his Abyss Orange title and Tear will get her Abyss Black title, ultimately getting this outfit.

MONSTER COLLECTOR
EVENT TRIGGER: After the Absorption Gate
While on your second or higher play through, you are able to obtain this title once Tear rejoins you after the Absorption Gate. Once you do, go to Keterburg and talk to the Katz boy on the third floor of the hotel. He will tell you that he wants the group to go and find three monsters, each with a special item. You will need to get the Golden Helm from Behemoth, the Gae Bolg from the Sandworm and the Sunlight Chamber from the Replicants. Once you defeat all three, return and he will give Tear the "Monster Collector" title, and she will obtain this outfit.
